Border patients
Oral surgery in Switzerland
Our Center regularly welcomes patients living in France and working in Switzerland, as well as French patients seeking specialized care in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Cross-border patients are welcome at the practice, both for specialist consultations and for surgical procedures.
Care adapted to cross-border patients
Thanks to our proximity to Switzerland and existing healthcare agreements, many cross-border patients are able to consult and undergo surgery in Switzerland.
We regularly accompany patients from :
- Haute-Savoie
- Pays de Gex
- Ain
- Savoie
- Lyon region
- Other border regions
Our team is used to dealing with administrative formalities and insurance issues for cross-border workers.

In particular, the Centre handles
- complex wisdom teeth extractions,
- pediatric oral surgery (freinectomies, supernumerary teeth)
- lesions of the mouth and tongue (ball, spot, plaque)

Insurance and coverage
Coverage depends mainly on your health insurance status and the type of procedure performed (some treatments are not included in the LaMal).
KVG/LAMal patients
Cross-border workers affiliated to the KVG/LAMal generally have access to healthcare in Switzerland, including specialist consultations and scheduled outpatient treatment.
Depending on your coverage and supplementary insurance, part of the cost may be covered.
We recommend that you check directly with your insurance company:
- repayment terms and conditions,
- your candor,
- your share, if any,
- any necessary authorizations.
Patients affiliated with CPAM / CMU
Patients affiliated to the French health insurance scheme (CPAM / CMU) can also consult in Switzerland.
However, certain scheduled or hospital treatments may require prior authorization from the French Assurance Maladie, depending on the type of procedure.
Our administrative team can help you identify the documents you need for your application.
Useful documents before your appointment
In order to prepare your consultation, please send :
- recent X-rays or scans,
- your prescriptions and medical treatments,
- your insurance card,
- any medical or dental reports.
These elements enable the surgeon to assess your situation before the consultation.
Course of your treatment
After receiving your application :
- Your medical situation is analyzed.
- A consultation is organized.
- A treatment plan is explained to you.
- An estimate can be provided depending on the type of treatment envisaged.
- The intervention is scheduled if necessary.
Our aim is to provide clear, rapid care tailored to the needs of cross-border patients.
